Mike Brown: LA Lakers Great Team

LOS ANGELES - LA Lakers coach Wednesday, Mike Brown, said that the club  that he besut today is a great team, although not  able to  defend  the NBA title last season that they embrace.

After the 0-4 defeat of the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference semifinals last, Mr Brown officially became the Lakers coach Phil Jackson and replace the retired. Previously, the team based at the Staples Center is already starting to do a search for a position coach. Two names like Rick Adelman and Brian Shaw (Lakers assistant coach) has emerged as a candidate.

However, management-led Lakers executive vice president, Jim Buss, chose Brown as new coach with a four-year contract period. Allegedly, the contract reached a value of more than 18 million U.S. dollars.

As a new coach, Brown is optimistic about the future of the Lakers and said that his team has great players, although the results achieved zilch this year.

"I love this team, although not won anything last season. In my opinion, this team was created to win the title. I am very happy to coach great players here," Brown said, as quoted by the official website of the NBA.

Furthermore, when asked about the proposed sale of three major players the Lakers (Kobe Bryant, Lamar Odom, Pau Gasol), a former Cleveland Cavaliers coach's opinion that it would not affect the positive performance in the body of the team.

"I think management will certainly do my best. Any player who comes in, will surely give kemangan for us," he said.
