Vermaelen Arsenal Ready to Strengthen Again

Thomas Vermaelen is ready to return to the main squad for Arsenal, after his name added to the Gunners reserve team against Manchester United's reserve team.

He was sidelined for eight months after suffering an Achilles injury, and had undergone minor surgery in January.

Belgian national team players are sorely missed by Arsenal, particularly in the last two months. The presence and leadership in the back line is needed to end six years of fasting the team title.

As we know together, in the past two months Arsenal have tough times, once frozen out of the three competitions at once, and threatened not capable of winning the Premier League (again) this season because of some disappointing matches.

Vermaelen might not be ready when his team entertain United at the Emirates on Sunday. But his name can be entered by Arsene Wenger in the main squad, although they had to sit on the bench.

United's match is the match face-off Arsenal, if they fail to win in this match, they almost certainly could not win the Premier League this season.

Arsenal are now nine points away from United at the top of the standings, and only four matches to play before the season closed.
