MONTREAL - The U.S. swimming star Michael Phelps, proving its readiness to face the world swimming championships in Shanghai by winning the 100 meter butterfly in the Canada Cup on Sunday.

Winning 14 gold medals this Olympics clocked 51.32 seconds. Phelps will be 26 years old this week to beat compatriot, Chris Brady, by a margin of more than one second.
This is the second gold medal for Phelps on Saturday after winning the 200-meter freestyle. These results show Phelps' readiness to face the world championships which will take place in Shanghai, China, the next two weeks.
"I am satisfied with this result and I know I need more exercise," Phelps said. "Competition like this will help me mentally better than the other."
In Shanghai, Phelps will likely fall in seven numbers, including 100 and 200-meter butterfly, 200 meter freestyle, 200 medley, as well as three relay number.
